Have
you ever really thought about where you are in terms of God’s plan for your
life? I mean have you really had some
deep thought about your current path in life and if that is where God wants you
to be at this given point and time? I must admit that I have and I am
actually in that reflective stage in my life. I think about missed
opportunities. Things I know He has put me here to do, that I have yet to do. I
find myself wondering why is this the case. I feel like I have let God down
because of my disobedience or my fear to act. But when I look around and see
the state of our world, I am saddened because I realize that I am not the only one. I see people not in
their rightful place, not doing what they were created to do. As I analyze this, I conclude that we have we gotten away from
earnestly pursuing God’s will for our lives because we are so consumed with our
own wants, our desires, our own way. As a result we have unfilled “positions”
in the body; Lots of harvesting to be done, but not enough workers.
What if God posted status updates like the “You
Are Here” signs we see at malls that show us where we are in terms of the His
will? The sign would show our life’s purpose and where we are at this point
in terms of reaching it.
What would your “status update” from God say?
Would
you be in His will or out of it?
The only way to really know where
we are in terms of His will is to consult Him. For some this may seem a bit
overwhelming because there is a fear that we have strayed so far away from His plan.
But it is NOT too late. There is time for each of us change our current status from “Off Track” to “In the center of His will”. It's time that we are about our Father's business. He is waiting …
