For believers in Christ, this week is referred to as "Holy Week".
Most would agree that the name is very appropriate for such a sacred time. It
is a time to review the
scriptures that chronicle the events that led up to the crucifixion of our
Savior. It is important for each of us to understand what took place and why it
was absolutely necessary. It is also a time to reflect on what that means to you personally. It is a time
to meditate on His Word, allowing it to seep deeper into your heart. Then as a
result of your time of review and reflection it should cause you to respond. Your response should be
a sincere desire to pour out your love for Him more than ever before. Ask
yourself this question, "What
can I give to someone who has given so much for me?"
The blogs that I post
this week will have one purpose, to prompt you to focus on the matchless
sacrifice of our Savior. Each day I will look at a different attribute or
characteristic using each letter of the word SAVIOR. May you be blessed as you
read the words, but moreso may you be compelled to serve Him more than you have
before. Be encouraged today!
