TRULY AN AMAZING GOD!

I was in a deep worship mode yesterday, not that I am not in worship mode any other days, but this time was different. God was doing something in me and He was using me to encourage others at the same time. I felt so overwhelmed by His presence, His greatness, His vastness, who He is, and how big He is. A song was in my spirit that I kept singing. The song is entitled “Indescribable” [originally sang by Chris Tomlin and also recorded by Kierra Sheard and possibly others]. I became so intensely aware of His presence and yet so inadequate to render unto Him the praise He truly deserved. I wept! I exhorted Him! No words I could say could convey all of my thoughts. I simply told Him how amazing He is to me.

Do you ever take the time to let Him now how much He means to you? I mean do you really spend quality time lavishing your praise on Him? I think sometimes in our day-to-day hustle we don’t really take enough time to grasp the vastness of the God we serve. We don’t really meditate on who He is or really worship Him like He is truly amazing. Perhaps if we really got a hold of this we wouldn’t live like we tend to live at times, haphazardly or inconsistent. We would be so engrossed in the magnitude of the God we serve that nothing would stop us from giving Him praise and worshipping Him for who He is.

Yesterday, I chose to do that. For a portion of my day I let Him overtake me as I listened to that song. The lyrics are so powerful that I had to share at least the chorus and I hope they minister to you as they did me.

Indescribable, uncontainable,

You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.

You are amazing God

All powerful, untameable,

Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim

You are amazing God

Meditate on these words today. Let the reality of who He is really penetrate deep into your soul. Get lost in His vastness. Understand that no matter what we have been through, what we are currently going through or what we will face in the future;

One fact remains

We serve an AMAZING GOD!
