I LAUGHED

I got an opportunity to hang out with some special friends on yesterday. It doesn’t happen often in our busy, crazy, always-on-the-go, mom lives, so we savored every moment. We shared conversation over a meal and while we were working on a task, we found time to enjoy each other’s conversation, encourage one another, and most of all WE LAUGHED! Perhaps it may not mean much to you, but to me it was so needed. Life has taken its toll and most days I am doing good to muster up an almost semi-smile. But today, I am pleased to announce, I laughed! I laughed, even though my problems still existed. I laughed in spite of my current circumstances. I laughed until I cried (good tears). And you know what? It felt so good. It was then that I realized the value of laughter in our lives. It is definitely therapeutic.

I think we all get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that we forget to take the time to actually enjoy it. It is good to have friends you can laugh with, to remind you that it’s ok to let go and have fun. Today, take the time to laugh. I don’t care how bad your situation may be; find something to laugh about. It is good medicine, no matter what ails you. Be encouraged today!
