Over the last week or so, I have
noticed seeing several missing person alerts. It is definitely a sad situation
when parents are searching for their children, not knowing if they are alive or
dead. I can’t imagine the sadness they must feel. Not to minimize the
seriousness of their situation, but there is another parent, the Heavenly Father
that is in search of a “missing child”…
Has God declared you “missing” ? You might be thinking, of course not because I
am still here. Although you may not be “missing”
in the sense of completely unable to be found, but in the sense of spending
time with Him (prayer & studying His Word) you have definitely been
declared “missing”. God has been calling you to spend time with Him. He shows
up every time, but you never meet Him. He has sent you “messages” to remind you
of your time together, yet you have ignored them. If this describes your situation, then you have been declared “missing”.
Even more serious than that,
there are those that have completely abandoned their post, the thing that God
called them to do. Circumstances, past mistakes, or life’s struggles have
caused them to give up and completely walk away from it all. God has attempted to
get your attention. He has sent people your way to encourage you. He has sent
“signs” for you to know that He still loves you and desires you to come back to
Him. Yet you have not responded. Does this describe your life? You have definitely been declared “missing”.
Perhaps you are a “missing” person or maybe you know a “missing” person?
No matter who the “missing” person
is, the search party is out.
It’s time to come home! It's time to completely return to Him!
He is waiting...
