WE WANT MORE! WE WANT MORE! WE NEED MORE!

I love the AT & T 4G commercial, the one where the little girl says “We Want More! We want More!” Those words resonate with most of us. Let’s face it, we live in a “want more” world. I hear it all the time people saying they want more money, more material things, more fame, just more... Do they really need the things they are saying they want more of? If they were honest, in most cases the answer is “No”. But I can think of some things that I not only want more of, but I truly need it. The top thing for me would be more of God. I want more of His power, more of His strength, more of His compassion. Not only do I want it, I need it! I want to be more like Him, more about His business, more about serving His people.

As the status of our nation is being constantly assessed and analyzed everyone is coming up with a plan, their thoughts of what we need more of. Some say we need more of the budget allocated for a specific purpose, some say we need more health care options, some say we need more gun control, more border patrol. It is a never-ending debate. I personally believe that these are band-aid solutions for a much bigger issue. We are living in a nation that is doing their best to deny the existence of the God who created it. I am definitely not a political guru in any sense of the word, but I definitely recognize things for what they are. The “more” that we all need to be asking for, desiring, desperately seeking after is more of God. Oh that we would sincerely cry out to God letting Him know “We want more! We want more! We need more of You!!
