AT THE APPOINTED TIME

I grew up hearing people say things like “He may not come when you want Him, but He’s always right on time” or “He is an on-time God”. When I was younger, my childish thought process caused me to struggle with this because I thought well if He doesn’t come when I want Him, how can He be on time? Thankfully I have grown up and I understand a lot more than I did back then. I have seen God come through for me at times when I truly knew that His timing was critical in that situation.

I am coming to really understand that God’s timing is precise. There is an appointed time for every blessing, every breakthrough, every way out, every promise, and every dream coming to pass. I know that sometimes it seems like His timing is off or that He is moving too slow on our behalf, but trust the process or the method that He chooses to use. He knows what He is doing and while you only see your particular situation on the surface, God has an aerial view and there is a bigger picture that He is working with.

 The dictionary simplifies this by saying that appointed time means at the expected or assigned time. God’s timing is so very important that it has been assigned to that particular event. Know that whatever it is you have been waiting on is time-stamped and at that particular time, it will come to pass. Let me remind you that…

God is not a God that He should lie. 

His promises will come to pass in your life.

He is not a God with amnesia. He hasn’t forgotten you.

The key thing for you to grasp and hold on to while you wait on Him is that at the appointed time, it will happen. Be encouraged today.
