SHIFTING

I have been hearing this word a lot lately, “shifting”. I have heard it in the secular setting, but mostly in the spiritual sectors. There are rumblings of a “shifting” talking place in terms of spiritual things. It is defined in this manner “to change the place, position, or direction of” (www.merriam-webster.com) Now, I don’t ever claim to be the most spiritual person or to know everything about spiritual matters, but I can certainly agree with this idea of a spiritual  “shift” taking place. God is doing things in and through His children. It seems that those that were once in the background are now being shifted to the forefront. He is promoting those who were once considered the “least important”. Situations that were once hopeless are all of a sudden changing for the better. God is definitely changing things around.

Isaiah 43:19 says “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” The things we see happening while they are new to us they are not new to Him. It is exciting to see God’s people fulfill their destiny and operate in the calling that God placed them in. While there are definitely terrible things going on in the world we live in, the Kingdom of God is not silent. Be not deceived, there is a “shifting” taking place. Be encouraged today!
