I can remember years ago when I was job hunting and everyone
wanted to give me advice on how to approach my search. A lot of people said
it’s all about who you know that can make the difference. I can hear their
advice just like it was yesterday, “Knowing
this person can open many doors for you” or “You need to attend this gathering because these people will be there”. The whole mixing and mingling process
overwhelmed me. Let’s just say I learned then that I do not play “the
game” well. It was at that point that I decided to put my job search in God’s
hands. I trusted that He knew what was best for me. It was my prayer that He would open the doors that needed to be open and close those that needed to be shut.
I know that many people find themselves in the midst of the same
rat race that I did. Trying to make sure you get into the “right” circles and meet the “right”
people so that you can have the best doors opened for you, the best
opportunities. Don’t get me wrong, I know that meeting people and making
connections has its’ place. But I also know that you can become so consumed
with people that you begin to put them in a position that only God should have
in your life. Perhaps there are people in this world that knowing them can make
things happen for you, but I will take my chances with God. He is the greatest
door opener. His favor is like no
other. So fret not, God is taking care of matters that concern you. If He puts
His stamp of approval on you then NO MAN can deny you what God says is yours. I
hear the door opening for you. Get ready to receive your blessing!
~ I know
your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I
know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not
denied my name. Revelation 3:8
